Best Beaches to Enjoy with Kids

Since we live in Omaha, Nebraska - the very center of the US and as far away from beaches as humanly possible, we often vacation at beaches! Our kids are most certainly obsessed with water, sand, and waves. Perhaps it's since we never get to experience that here, or maybe beaches are just always awesome for everyone? Either way, here are our favorites from the past few years!
Bradenton Beach, Anna Maria Island, Florida

We were looking for a fun spring break getaway last year that wasn't a Cancun college party situation! My aunt suggested we take our littles to Anna Maria Island, and I have to say, she hit it out of the park.

We stayed in an adorable AirBnb a block away from Bradenton Beach. There is a cute little trolley that goes up and down Anna Maria Island (about a twenty minute loop) where you can access other beaches, restaurants, shopping, mini-golf, etc. Although, truthfully, our kids were most content when playing at the beach :)
Englishmans Bay, Tobago
This video says it all! We traveled here in January and would go back in a heartbeat!
We first flew into Trinidad, then rented a car so that we could take the car with us while we ferried over to Tobago. While you can hire local drivers, we wanted the freedom to be able to navigate on our own. Let's just say I'm lucky that my husband Joe was eager to drive on the opposite side of the car on the opposite side of the road! Having our rental car allowed us to venture to less populated beaches and bays. This is such a magical place!
Folly Beach, South Carolina
This was actually the first beach we ever took our kids to! My grandmother gifted my parents money for a trip, so they took our entire family here. It was a perfect first beach trip for kids!

This is the dock from our AirBnb that lead straight to the ocean! The kids collected shells throughout the week, and with them being younger and still napping, it was so convenient to be able to pop back and forth between the beach and their room!
We found this beach to be much less crowded than popular Myrtle Beach nearby. It also was nice to check out Charleston's shops and restaurants that were only a twenty minute drive away!
